Jelena Puzic

Director Strategic Initiatives, Copper Growth at Teck

Jelena Puzic has over 28 years of experience in the mining and geological sectors, primarily with Teck Resources Limited since May 1996, where roles have included Director of Strategic Initiatives for Copper Growth, Director of Geoscience Services, Manager of Advanced Projects, and Principal Geologist. Puzic has been instrumental in advanced data integration and modeling, and is a founding member of Teck's Geo Metallurgical Working Group. Previously, project evaluations of gold opportunities in North America were conducted as a Senior Geologist, and significant contributions were made to deep-sea exploration technologies leading to the identification of high-grade Cu-Au-Zn systems in Tonga and Papua New Guinea. Puzic's earlier positions included senior and project geologist roles with a focus on subsurface exploration and community engagement. Educational credentials include a BScH in Geology from Queen's University, obtained in 1996.
