Mikel Vergara Ede

Mikel Vergara Ede is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) with extensive experience in cybersecurity and software development. Currently, Mikel works at TECNALIA Research & Innovation, focusing on the development of test protocols for cybersecurity in electrical substation equipment and the design of cybersecurity requirements for the IEC 61850 SAS Functionality Testing Tool software. Previous roles include Project Leader at the European Software Institute - Tecnalia, where Mikel led research projects in process improvement and digital business services, as well as software engineering positions in the banking sector with IDE | Grupo Informática de Euskadi and Syseca. Mikel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Master’s in Software Engineering from the University of Deusto, along with multiple professional certifications in network security and ethical hacking.
