Miguel Toro

Miguel Toro serves as the Director of the Initiative on Democracy and Development and the Regional Dean of the School of Social Sciences and Government at TECNOLÓGICO DE MONTERREY, overseeing multiple campuses and a team of 32 professors while managing undergraduate programs for approximately 500 students. Previous roles include National Director of the Government and Public Transformation Program, where leadership guided the program's expansion across Mexico, and lecturer at Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, where a course on crony capitalism was developed. Miguel’s extensive experience in political affairs includes consulting for various organizations, internships at The Wilson Center and the Department of Energy of Mexico, and advising on energy policy for Enrique Peña Nieto's transition team. Academic credentials include a Master's in Public Policy from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor's in Political Science and Economics from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.
