Ekarin Boonurai

Ekarin Boonurai has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles.

From 2018 to present, Ekarin has been working at Tecolote Research as a Senior Analyst, specifically focusing on Navy and Civilian Operations.

Prior to that, from 2015 to 2018, Ekarin was a Cost/Economic Analyst at Galorath Incorporated. In that role, Ekarin developed, updated, and maintained the Program Office Estimate based on the program life-cycle cost estimate process. As co-owner and manager of Caf\u00e9 De Bangkok in Blacksburg, VA and Sunset Thai Restaurant and Lounge in Fredericksburg, VA, Ekarin successfully executed a business plan that began as a class group project. Ekarin managed the day-to-day operations, marketing, and bookkeeping for the company.

Finally, Ekarin gained early work experience as a Foreign Exchange Summer Intern at Bank of America in both 2003 and 2004. In this role, Ekarin worked in a fast-paced call center environment, assisting Bank of America branch employees with foreign exchange sales transactions, such as cash, check, foreign Travelers Cheques, and wires. Ekarin gained valuable knowledge about the foreign exchange world during this time.

Ekarin Boonurai pursued a Bachelor's degree in Statistics with a concentration in Actuarial Science and minors in Economics and Management from Purdue University. This educational journey started in 2001 and concluded in 2005. Prior to attending Purdue, Ekarin attended St. Francis High School from 1997 to 2001.
