Washington Alves, MS, currently serves as the VP of Biologics Manufacturing at Tectonic Therapeutic, Inc., where responsibilities include leading technical operations and the CMC value chain, managing the global CDMO network, and developing strategies for CMC development and clinical supplies. Previous experience includes roles as Vice President of Technical Operations at GEMINI THERAPEUTICS and Sr. Director of Technical Operations, where Washington was instrumental in setting strategies for novel therapeutic molecules and directing CMC operations for drug development. Additional positions at Jounce Therapeutics, Merrimack Pharmaceuticals, and Wyeth provided extensive experience in process development, manufacturing, and managing clinical supplies across various therapeutic programs, culminating in a strong background in biologics and biopharmaceutical manufacturing. Washington holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from Tufts University and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
