Josh Kaufman has a diverse work experience that spans from 1998 to 2015. Josh started their career as an IT Support Specialist at Montgomery County Public Schools from 1998 to 2000. From 2003 to 2004, they had a web project management internship at the Marine Mammal Commission. In 2004, they founded Montgomery Web Solutions and also worked as a Web Systems Manager at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities until 2010. From 2006 to 2008, they founded Video-tabs.com, a platform for guitar lessons. From 2010 to 2015, they served as a Google Analytics Manager, Social Media Strategist, Lead Web Data Analyst, and Technical Representative at the Social Security Administration. In 2015, they joined TED Conferences as a Principal Analytics Manager.

Josh Kaufman graduated from Towson University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Information Systems and Business Administration. Prior to that, they attended Magruder High School from 1996 to 2000, focusing on Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services.
