Kimberlee S. Williams serves as the Director of Communications and Marketing at Rutgers University - Newark since January 2017 and has held the role of TED Resident and TED Speaker since April 2016. As the Cofounder and CEO of Newark Business Hub and FEMWORKS, an award-winning integrated marketing communications agency, Williams emphasizes community engagement through culturally targeted strategies. Experience as the inaugural Senior Entrepreneur in Residence at Rutgers Business School from 2015 to June 2021 includes fostering connections between academic initiatives and local entrepreneurs. Williams founded the Forward Ever Sustainable Business Alliance and the New Jersey LGBT Chamber of Commerce, enhancing resources for small business entrepreneurs. Other roles include Marketing Manager at IDOM, Inc. and Marketing and Public Relations Director at the African Globe Performing Arts Organization. Williams holds a BA in Social Movements and African American Studies from Drew University and a certificate in Web Page, Digital/Multimedia and Information Resources Design from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
