Rachel Sussman

Rachel Sussman is a contemporary artist based in Brooklyn with a rich background in both art and leadership. Currently serving as a TED Resident since September 2016, Sussman participates in an incubator program focused on transformative ideas. As an NYFA Fellow and Climate Leader for The Climate Reality Project, Sussman actively engages in community-oriented and ecological initiatives. Over the years, Sussman has held various roles, including Managing Director at Galapagos Art Space, Treasurer for the MacDowell Colony Fellows Executive Committee, and exhibited work through multiple organizations. Academic credentials include a PhD in Practice-based Fine Arts from the University of the Arts London, an MFA in Fine Art Photography from Bard College, and a BFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts. Through artistic work, Sussman aims to merge personal and cosmic time, promoting long-term thinking.
