Robert Spica has a diverse work experience in the design industry. Robert has served as a Principal Product Designer at TED Conferences since 2021. Prior to that, they worked as an Adjunct Instructor at Parsons School of Design from 2013 onwards. Robert also held the position of Principal Designer at frog from 2017 to 2021. In 2014, they co-founded AREA-OF-PRACTICE, a design consultancy where they served as a Partner until 2021. Additionally, Robert was a Partner at ligatureDesign, Inc. from 2007 to 2017, working with clients such as The New York City Marathon and Time Inc. Robert worked as a Design Consultant at Waterworks from 1998 to 2015. Robert has also worked as a TCNJ Adjunct Faculty member at The College of New Jersey from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they served as an Art and Design Director at StudioXL, where they built successful brand systems and marketing strategies. In 1997, Robert worked as a Senior Designer at Carbone Smolan Agency, managing brand development and project teams.

Robert Spica attended The Ohio State University where they studied Graphic Design and Mechanical Engineering, earning their Bachelor's degree in BSID. In 2017, they enrolled at Rutgers University to pursue MERN-stack web Development.
