Macklin O'Reilly is a structural engineer at the Sydney Interplanetary Rover Initiative since April 2024, where technical skills are applied in a challenging environment. In addition, Macklin serves as an academic tutor at The King's School, providing support in various subjects including maths and science. Leadership roles include chairing the AIAA University of Sydney Student Branch and managing sponsorships for Windsoc. As outreach coordinator for Engineers Without Borders USyd, Macklin develops engineering workshops for primary school students, while also managing logistics for large-scale events as a drink station manager for ted and a volunteer welfare assistant for The IRONMAN Group Oceania. Macklin has prior experience as a climbing instructor at Forest Adventures South West and as a retail assistant at Capel Hardware and Farm Supplies. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering with a focus on Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical/Space Engineering at the University of Sydney, Macklin's diverse experiences reflect a commitment to engineering and community engagement.
