A Krista Kivisild has a diverse range of work experience in auditing, risk management, and IT audit services. A Krista started their career in 1998 as an Auditor at the Office of the Auditor General of Manitoba. After that, they worked as a Tax Preparation Analyst at Grant Thornton in 2000. In 2002, they also served as a Facilitator/Marker at the Chartered Accountants School of Business. From 2003 to 2004, they worked as a Senior Consultant at the University of Manitoba. A Krista then joined Can West Global Communications as a Senior Audit Consultant from 2004 to 2006. Following that, they worked as a Director at Sunera LLC from 2006 to 2011. In 2011, they joined Teekay as a Manager of Risk & IT Audit Services, where they worked until 2020. At Teekay, they also served in various leadership roles, including Acting Vice President and Director of Risk & Audit Services. A Krista further expanded their expertise in 2008 by acquiring a CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) certification from ISACA, specializing in Information Systems Audit. In 2009-2010, they attended MacEwan University to study NPO Board Governance. Continuing their commitment to professional development, they completed an Accredited COBIT 5 training course at ISG in 2014. In 2016, they received Yellow Belt certification in Six Sigma.
