Tara Smith

Tara Smith is an experienced professional in storytelling and communications, currently serving as the Story Manager at Teenage Cancer Trust since December 2017. In this role, Tara has focused on enhancing the organization's practices for engaging with young people and their families, developing a storytelling policy to improve their experiences. Prior to this, Tara managed the Case Studies Unit at NSPCC, where the responsibilities included interviewing children and families. Additional experience includes a senior communications officer position at NSPCC, where Tara crafted communication strategies and handled media relations. Earlier in the career, Tara served as an acting news and features editor at News Team International and worked as a journalist across various publications. Tara holds a BA Hons in English from Birmingham City University and a post-graduate diploma in Journalism from De Montfort University.
