Mo Urzola Tellez

Hydroponic Systems Coordinator at Teens for Food Justice

Mo is a Colombian New Yorker who has received a BA in Human Development and Family Studies from Queens College and holds a Master’s degree from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. Mo has more than eight years of experience in social service and social justice organizations, supporting and connecting with various communities including out-of-school youth, LGBTQ+ folks, immigrants, and older adults. Mo began working with TFFJ as a consultant, which piqued their interest in hydroponic farming, a passion for building, and a goal to work towards a just and equitable society. Mo enjoys spending time in nature in their free time, playing with their three pets, and watching horror movies.
