Francis Manuel Abbey

Francis Manuel Abbey is a seasoned digital video professional with extensive experience in various roles within the media industry. Currently serving as the Digital Video Manager for TEGNA since February 2017, Francis co-created and manages HeartThreads and HeartThreads Docs. Additional experience includes a long-standing role as a Digital Video Producer at Ciscovaras Pictures since June 2003, and prior positions at WUSA-TV from December 2014 to February 2017, where responsibilities included producing original digital and marketing content. Francis also held various roles at TelescriptDC from August 2006 to November 2014, including Teleprompter Operator for notable clients like VW, the IRS, and the BBC. Academically, Francis earned a Master's Degree in Film and Television from Savannah College of Art and Design and a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish Language and Literature, alongside Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland.
