Valerie Butler Guyton

Valerie Butler Guyton is an accomplished media executive with extensive experience in news production and management. Currently serving as President and General Manager at TEGNA since July 2023, Valerie has held key leadership positions within prominent organizations such as NBCUniversal Media, LLC as Assistant News Director, and previously at TEGNA in various roles including Executive Producer and Assistant News Director. Valerie's career began in 1998 at KHOU-TV and has included significant contributions to CNN, FOX 26 KRIV, WTVF, and The Weather Channel, showcasing expertise in producing and overseeing newscasts and programming. Valerie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Houston.
