Brent Watkins

Brent Watkins began their career in 1981 as a Major in the United States Air Force. In 1996, they joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as a Supervisory Special Agent and gained extensive experience in cyber, white collar, terrorism, and counterintelligence investigations. In 2016, Watkins founded GlobalSec Partners LLC and served as the company's Founder and CEO, providing diversified consulting services for critical infrastructure security, cyber security, business continuity after a ransomware attack, SIEM development, and threat intelligence. Brent also worked as the Director of Corporate Security at Diamond Resorts® and was a member of the global data protection team. In 2022, Watkins joined Tego Cyber Inc as the Director of Business Development, directing the business development program and using proprietary threat intelligence sources to produce threat intelligence with context.

Brent Watkins obtained a BS in Chemistry from the University of South Florida between 1977 and 1980. Brent then obtained a BSEE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of South Florida between 1981 and 1983. Lastly, they obtained a Master of Business Administration - MBA from National University between 1987 and 1989. Additionally, Brent Watkins has obtained three certifications from GIAC Certifications: GIAC Information Security Professional (GISP) in April 2016, GSEC: GIAC Security Essentials (GISO) in January 2016, and GIAC Information Security Fundamentals (GISF) in April 2015.
