Head of People & Culture at Tekmetric

Karina Amanullah, ACC has extensive work experience in leadership development, coaching, and human resources. Karina is currently the Head of People & Culture at Tekmetric, where they focus on organizational culture and employee engagement. Prior to this, they worked as a Doerr Leadership Coach at The Doerr Institute for New Leaders at Rice University, providing one-on-one coaching to students to enhance their leadership skills. Karina also served as a People Partner at Rhythm, where they supported the HR function and employee development initiatives.

Before transitioning into coaching and HR roles, Karina worked as a Leadership and Executive Coach at Leadership Coaching, specializing in coaching high-potential clients seeking leadership opportunities and assisting with career transitions. Karina also held senior leadership positions at Aim, LLC, including Senior Director of HR Operations and Strategic Initiatives, where they played a vital role in talent acquisition, organizational design, and employee and client engagement. Karina also served as the Director of HR Operations and Project Management, overseeing recruitment, training, and development.

Earlier in their career, Karina worked as a Clinical Director at Providence Service Corporation, where they coordinated clinical and employee relations in the Dallas Region. Karina also gained experience as a Program Manager at Communities In Schools of the Dallas Region, where they developed needs assessments for at-risk students.

Karina's experience spans a variety of industries, and they have demonstrated expertise in leadership development, coaching, talent acquisition, employee engagement, and organizational design. Their strength-based approach and focus on enhancing emotional intelligence have been key elements of their coaching and leadership roles.

Karina Amanullah, ACC completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Southern Methodist University from 2000 to 2004. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from St. Mary's University, which they completed between 2004 and 2006.

In addition to their academic degrees, Karina also holds various certifications. In 2008, they obtained the National Certified Counselor (NCC) certification from The National Board for Certified Counselors. More recently, in 2019, they received the CoachRICE Certification from Rice University. Karina further enhanced their professional qualifications in 2020 by becoming an EQ-i 2.0/EQ360 Certified Practitioner through Multi-Health Systems Inc. (MHS). Karina's dedication to coaching is evident in their achievement of the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential from the International Coaching Federation in 2020. Furthermore, they are an active member of the International Coaching Federation, as reflected by their possession of the ICF Member Badge, which they obtained in February 2021.
