Instituttet deltager i samfundsnyttige udviklingsprojekter i tæt samarbejde med førende forsknings- og uddannelsesinstitutioner i både Danmark og udlandet. Teknologisk Institut gennemfører rådgivnings- og standardiseringsaktiviteter, som bidrager til en dynamisk og harmonisk samfundsudvikling. Instituttet medvirker til at styrke den danske arbejdsstyrkes kompetencer via uddannelse.
