Ilan Volovitz

Ilan Volovitz has a diverse work experience. Ilan started their career at Tel Aviv Medical Center in 2007, where they worked as the Head of the Cancer Immunotherapy Lab. In this role, they focused on studying the unique immunology of brain tumors and combining basic-science with clinically-applied investigation. Ilan also worked as the Chief Scientist and Founder at Pyxis Diagnostics starting from 2019. Before that, they served as the CIO at Smartap from 2006 to 2008. Ilan Volovitz also has research experience, completing a PhD and MSc at The Weizmann Institute of Science between 1997 and 2006. Additionally, they founded and served as the CEO of SMB-Israel from 2001 to 2003, and as the Founder, co-manager, and CIO of iLogus from 1999 to 2000.

Ilan Volovitz earned a PhD in Tumor Immunology and Autoimmunity from The Weizmann Institute of Science from 2001 to 2006. Prior to that, they completed an MSc in Tumor Immunology from The Weizmann Institute of Science from 1997 to 2000. Ilan obtained a BSc in Biology from Tel Aviv University from 1994 to 1997. During their high school years from 1980 to 1990, they attended Daled High School, specializing in a project for gifted children.
