Derek Bennetsen

Derek Bennetsen is a highly experienced medical professional with a strong background in emergency medicine and leadership. Currently serving as Senior Medical Director at Teladoc since March 2018, Derek also holds the position of Partner at The Colony ER Hospital since March 2017. Prior to these roles, Derek worked as an Emergency Medicine Physician at Baylor Scott & White Health from December 2008 to 2017. The journey in medicine began with residency training in emergency medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center from July 2005 to January 2008, following a residency in family medicine at the Mayo Clinic from 2002 to 2005. Derek earned a Doctor of Osteopathy degree from Midwestern University, Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed an undergraduate education at Miami University from 1993 to 1997.
