Sumit Kumar

Sumit Kumar has over 14 years of professional experience in the tech industry. Sumit started their career in 2005 as a Programmer Analyst at Cognizant Technology Solutions. In 2006, they moved to Aricent as a Senior Software Engineer, where they gained experience in developing Diameter base stack from scratch for LTE, development and sustenance of SS7 stack layers, product enhancement for various features of MAP protocol, and providing post development 24X7 onsite support of SIGTRAN and DIAMETER for HLR and PAM node at Vodafone UK. In 2010, they joined NewNet Communication Technologies as a Professional Services Engineer. Sumit then moved to Sandvine in 2012 as a Senior Development Engineer, where they were responsible for the development of LTE Policy and Charging Related Function (PCRF) and PCEF. In 2014, they returned to NewNet Communication Technologies as a Technical Lead. In 2015, they rejoined Sandvine as a Technical Lead. In 2017, they moved to Telaverge Communications, where they served as Director of Engineering, Senior Program Manager, and Software Architect.

Sumit Kumar completed their Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra in 2005. Sumit had previously completed their 12th Standard from Bokaro Ispat Vidyalaya in 2001, majoring in Mathematics and Computer Science.
