Mohamed Tarek has a diverse work experience in software development, particularly in iOS and Android app development. Mohamed started their career as an Android Developer Intern at Google/MCIT Mobile Application Launchpad in 2016. Mohamed then worked as a Freelance Android Developer before transitioning to iOS development.
In 2017, Mohamed joined alyoumhost as an iOS Developer, where they developed and maintained E-Commerce and Services applications. Mohamed also deployed four applications to the App Store during this time.
In 2018, Mohamed joined ITWORX Education as an iOS Developer, where they designed, built, and maintained advanced applications for the iOS platform. Mohamed collaborated with other developers, product managers, designers, and QA engineers.
In 2019, Mohamed joined WIMO as an iOS Developer, where they designed, developed, and maintained iOS applications written in Swift for WIMO Services, a platform for businesses and enterprises.
In the same year, Mohamed joined Swvl, initially as a Senior iOS Engineer, contributing to iOS architecture across the organization and driving best engineering practices. Mohamed then took on the role of Squad Lead, working closely with engineering managers and the product team to build the squad's quarter roadmap. Later, they became the iOS Chapter Lead, responsible for forming the iOS chapter roadmap and promoting personal development among chapter members. Finally, they became an Engineering Manager, leading two cross-functional squads in the Rider tribe, developing growth plans for engineers, and collaborating with other Engineering Managers to align with the tribe's long-term goals.
Most recently, Mohamed joined Telda in 2022 as an iOS Engineer.
Mohamed Tarek completed their education from 1999 to 2013 at Delta International Language Schools, where they obtained a degree called "Thanwya Aama." Mohamed then attended Mansoura University from 2013 to 2018, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Communication and Information Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Mohamed also obtained multiple certifications, including a Certificate of Completion: Mobile Application Launchpad from Google/MCIT Mobile Application Launchpad in December 2016, and a Developing Android Apps certification from Udacity in the same month and year. Mohamed also received several Coursera Course Certificates in various subjects such as Introduction to the Internet of Things and Embedded Systems, The Arduino Platform and C Programming, and Machine Learning Foundations, all of which were attained in 2016. Furthermore, they acquired expertise in other areas through certifications like Advanced Styling with Responsive Design, Advanced Data Structures in Java, and Interactivity with JavaScript, which they obtained in 2016 as well. In addition, Mohamed completed a Coursera Mentor Community and Training Course in July 2016. Lastly, they earned a Statement of Accomplishment in Computer Science 101 from Stanford University in May 2016 and a Certificate of Completion for a Java Course from SoloLearn in March 2016.
