Jarrod Nelson has extensive experience in aerospace and engineering, currently serving as a Data Management Coordinator and ISS Flight Controller at Teledyne Brown Engineering since October 2014, collaborating with the science and payloads community on the International Space Station. Prior to this role, Jarrod worked as a Flight Controller and Instructor at United Space Alliance from June 2000 to September 2014, specializing in ISS avionics. Jarrod’s career began in the United States Navy, where the individual served as a Fire Controlman - 2nd Class Petty Officer from October 1988 to July 1994 aboard the CG-51 Thomas S. Gates. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from Purdue University, earned between 1995 and 2000, and advanced training in Fire Control and Electronics from the United States Navy.
