Scot Carpenter has a vast work experience spanning several industries. Scot began their career in the US Navy, serving in the VAW-123 role from 1983 to 1987. Following that, they worked at Northwest Airlines as a Supervisor from 1987 to 1992. From 1992 to 1997, Scot held positions in several airlines, gaining expertise in airline and aircraft technical operations. Moving forward, they worked at Gateline Inc. as the General Manager of Airline Technical Consulting from 1992 to 1999. Scot then joined Champion Air as the Manager of Aircraft Engineering & Reliability from 1997 to 1999. Scot went on to work at Spirent Systems as a Business Development Manager from 1999 to 2003. Currently, they are associated with Teledyne Controls. Scot started at Teledyne Controls as a Business Development Manager in 2003 and has held various roles, including R&D Program Manager from 2006 to 2016. Most recently, Scot Carpenter has been the Vice President of Advanced Technology since June 2021.

Scot Carpenter has a background in Computer Science & Quantitative Methods from the University of St. Thomas. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Airframe & Powerplant from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration in June 1987, and a FCC License from the Federal Communications Commission in January 1983.
