David López Meco

David López Meco has a diverse work experience in the telecommunications and IT sectors. David is currently working as the Global Head of SASE & Cloud Networking, Product Marketing at Telefónica Tech since April 2021. Prior to this role, they worked at Telefónica from 2017 to 2021, holding various positions including Senior Manager for Software Defined Networking & Security products and Product Manager for Edge Computing Products and Network Virtualization in the Global Innovation Unit. In these roles, they led innovation programs, developed product strategies, managed stakeholder relationships, and oversaw the development and commercialization of several products.

Before joining Telefónica, David worked as a Senior Strategy & Transformation Consultant at Capgemini Invent, where they were involved in IT strategy assessment and the analysis of service performance and operations quality for telecom companies. David also worked as a Market Strategy Analyst at Penteo ICT Analyst, where they conducted strategic analysis, provided advice on sourcing strategies, and developed a digital transformation assessment framework. Prior to this, they worked as a Strategy & Operations Consultant at Deloitte, focusing on the telecommunications sector.

David's early experience includes working as an Algorithm Designer at Telefonica Innovation, where they were responsible for designing and building a mobile application for recording drive journeys and developing pattern recognition algorithms. The application was successfully developed and commercialized by Generali Seguros, and two patents are being processed based on the project's work.

David López Meco attended Universidad Politécnica de Madrid from 2008 to 2014, where they earned a degree in Telecommunication Engineering with a specialization in Telecommunications Technology. In 2014, they also obtained expertise in LTE technology from the same institution in the field of Electrical, Electronic and Communications Engineering Technology/Technician. Additionally, they received a certification in ITIL Foundation V3 from AXELOS Global Best Practice in 2015.
