Óscar Encina Frutos

Óscar Encina Frutos has a strong background in cybersecurity and IT risk management. Óscar is currently the SOC Security Managers Team Lead at Telefónica Tech since August 2020. Prior to that, they held the role of SOC Security Manager at Telefónica starting in December 2018. From February 2017 to November 2018, they worked as an SOC Coordinator and Team Leader at Bankia within Grupo SIA. Óscar also served as a Cyber Security Senior Project Manager at Repsol from February 2016 to January 2017 while working for InnoTec System - Cybersecurity Intelligence. Before that, they were an IT Risk & Security Manager at Probuban Grupo Santander at Metrica Consulting, from January 2014 to May 2015. Earlier in their career, they held various roles such as IT Security Senior Project Manager at SOC Telefónica for both InnoTec System and Ecija Law & Technology. Óscar started their professional career as a professional military officer in the Ejército del Aire from October 2000 to June 2002.

Óscar Encina Frutos is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Information Technology and Communication Security at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from CESINE Centro Universitario. Óscar also holds a Master's degree in Information Security from Instituto Cibernos. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Certified Ethical Hacker v9 from EC-Council in December 2016.
