Tomas Calvo Gomez

Tomas Calvo Gomez has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry, specifically with Telefónica and Telefónica Tech. Tomas joined Telefónica in 1998 and held various roles, including Head of International Mobile Platforms, where they managed a major virtualization project and successfully launched a global public IaaS offering. In 2020, they transitioned to Telefónica Tech and became the Head of Order Management before being promoted to Head of Cloud Platforms, where they oversee storage, computing, IaaS, PaaS, and cloud communications. Prior to joining Telefónica, Tomas had temporary assignments as a software developer.

Tomas Calvo Gomez has a Master's degree in Marketing Management from Centro de Estudios Comerciales - Camara de Comercio de Madrid. Tomas also holds a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Universidad de Valladolid. Tomas has pursued a Master's Degree in East Asian Studies from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. Tomas is currently studying Machine Learning at Stanford University. Additionally, Tomas has obtained certifications from VMware, Amazon Web Services, edX, and Coursera in areas such as network virtualization, software-defined storage, AWS solutions architecture, DevOps, and machine learning.
