Andrew Bates is an experienced journalist currently serving as a reporter at the Telegraph-Journal since October 2017. Prior to this role, Andrew worked in various editorial positions, including Content Manager and Senior Content Editor for a provincial chain of newspapers, and Editor at Howler Magazine. Experience includes working as a Tablet Producer and Content Editor at the Toronto Star, as well as multimedia reporting at Fort McMurray Today and Lac La Biche Post. Andrew's career began as an intern reporter and progressed through several significant roles, including Managing Editor at The Ubyssey and Editor-in-Chief at The Phoenix News. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Sociology from The University of British Columbia and an Associate of Arts degree from Okanagan College.
