Dr Kedem graduated from Rhode Island School of Design in 1991. After starting a few small businesses in New York City, he moved to Boston, Massachusetts to pursue premedical studies at Harvard, and research in genetics and gene sequencing at Harvard, Beth Israel. He left to attend medical school in the UK at the Cambridge Overseas Medical Program in 1998. Dr Kedem then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in Stamford, Connecticut. After residency, he completed a fellowship in Hospital Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr Kedem has been working as an internist and academic hospitalist since 2007. He began working in the field of Telemedicine in 2018, and has been involved in patient care, supervising clinicians and writing and refining clinical protocols. Dr Kedem is published both in the Journal of Hospital Medicine and the Journal of Critical Care. A 2007 publication, which he authored, on chronic mesenteric ischemia, has led to a novel and accepted treatment for this condition.
