Héctor A. Álvarez Rivera

Héctor A. Álvarez Rivera is an experienced news producer currently working at Telemundo Puerto Rico since August 2023 and has been an NAHJ member since August 2020. Prior to this role, Héctor served as a news producer at Wapa TV from August 2021 to July 2023, where responsibilities included collaborating with various news departments and producing newscasts. Héctor also worked as a news reporter, anchor, and producer at STV Noticias from February 2020 to June 2023, contributing to newscast production, writing, and editing. Earlier experience includes serving as a news writer for TVboricuaUSA from December 2016 to July 2021 and participating in news story development at GFR Media in July 2018. Héctor holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Universidad del Sagrado Corazón, earned between 2019 and 2023.
