Bas Moorkens

Bas Moorkens is a seasoned cloud engineer with extensive experience in IT, currently serving as a Senior Cloud (AWS) Engineer at Telenet since May 2022. Prior to this role, Bas spent over six years at Ordina Belgium in various capacities, including Competence Lead for Cloud Platforms and DevOps Engineer, where a focus on cloud community building and strategy was emphasized. Experience also includes positions as a Java Software Engineer at Ordina and a Software Engineer at RealDolmen, beginning as a Junior Software Engineer at the Federale Gerechtelijke Politie. Bas holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Computer Science from Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen, completed in 2011.
