David van der Laan has a diverse work experience. David started their career at Capitant Antwerp, where they worked in PR, Finance, and Media for three years. David then joined Deloitte Belgium as a Consultant in Cyber Security Strategy for a year. Following that, they worked at The Master Labs as a Business Architect for two years. David then joined The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as a Senior Associate for just over a year. Currently, David is working at Telenet. David started as a Data Evangelist and then became a Product Owner for Business Insights. David later became the Director of Data Strategy & Analytics, responsible for shaping the company's data strategy and executing data-related projects. Currently, they hold the role of Director of Customer Operations Steering.

David van der Laan earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Engineering in Management Information Systems from the University of Antwerp in 2013. David then went on to complete a Master's degree in Business Engineering in Management Information Systems from the same university, graduating in 2015.
