Gurol Akman

Gurol Akman has a strong background in the telecommunications industry, with over 35 years of experience. Gurol started their career as a Member of Technical Staff at AT&T Bell Labs in 1985, where they worked until 1994. Gurol then joined Telsoft, A.S. as Chief Technical Officer, holding the position until 2000. From 2000 to 2004, Gurol served as Chief Architect at SS8 Networks, Inc. In 2004, they became the Chief Technical Officer at Telenity, Inc., where they currently hold this role.

Gurol Akman completed a Ph.D. in Electrical, Computer, and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 1981 to 1985. Prior to that, from 1979 to 1981, they earned an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University. Gurol began their education journey by obtaining a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the same institution, Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University, which they completed from 1975 to 1979.
