Stig Waagbø

Stig Waagbø has extensive work experience in various roles and positions. Stig began their career as a Development Editor at Aftenposten in 2008 before moving on to become the Director of Digital Media at the same company. In 2010, they joined Media Norge AS as EVP Digital/Konserndirektør Digital. Stig then served as Chairman at Idium AS from 2008 to 2013. After that, they became EVP/Konserndirektør Digital at Schibsted Norge AS from 2012 to 2014. From 2014 to 2017, Stig Waagbø held the position of CEO at Schibsted Tech Polska and later transitioned to become Chairman of the company. Stig joined Telenor in 2017 as SVP/Head of Platforms and went on to serve as CEO at Telenor Digital AS from 2019 to 2022. Currently, Stig Waagbø is the Chief Executive Officer of Telenor Linx and also serves as Chairman at Axbit AS.

Stig Waagbø began their education in 1990 at the Norwegian Army: Officer Candidate School, where they studied Cavalry and specialized as a battle tank commander. After completing this program in 1992, they furthered their education at Oslo University College from 1992 to 1996. At the college, they focused on the Faculty of Education, although no specific degree name is provided.
