Dimitar Petkov

Dimitar Petkov is the current Finance Business Partner at Telerik Academy. Dimitar has also worked as the General Manager at LI Trade from October 2016 to December 2020, and as the Business Development - Foreign Markets at BulLact from September 2014 to January 2017.

At LI Trade, Dimitar was responsible for marketing, sales and delivery of Lacrima, Frezco and Diado Liben brands. Dimitar also lead production and sales separation in order to improve accountability and emphasize process ownership. In addition, they established a new planning and reporting process for forecasting team, which simplified day to day workflow and budgeting. Furthermore, they negotiated outsourcing terms such as financial conditions, performance metrics and bonus-malus clauses. Dimitar also implemented new KPIs to facilitate financial stability. Lastly, they governed budget planning and ensured proper execution.

At BulLact, Dimitar lead a team of professionals including Sales, Production and Marketing with the mission to widely distribute Bulgarian Yogurt trough out the Far East. They also explored possibilities to enter the USA market. Dimitar drove joint venture negotiations in US, Vietnam, Thailand and China for collaborations with local partners. In addition, they used domestic market data, in person store visits and local producer knowledge to identify product price ranges and packaging options. Dimitar also lead the development of different options for product placement and communication in collaboration with marketing teams from both sides. Lastly, they supervised laboratory and production tests in local factories as part of proof of concept and capabilities demonstration.

Dimitar Petkov has a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance from Baruch College. Dimitar also has a Post Graduate degree in Biochemistry from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. In addition, they have a Masters in Financial Managemant from D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics. Finally, they have an Associate's Degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Santa Monica College.

They are on a team with Alexandra Mechkova - CEO, Telerik Academy, Viktor Tsvetkov - CTO. Dimitar Petkov reports to Svetozar Georgiev, Co-Founder.
