Selina Hiebert

Selina Hiebert is a skilled engineering professional with a focus on systems verification and mission systems operations. Currently serving as a System Verification Engineering Specialist at Telesat since July 2025, Selina has previously held various engineering roles at MDA Space from February 2023 to August 2025, progressing from Junior to MTS Mission Systems & Operations Engineer. Prior experience includes a position as a System Engineer at General Dynamics Mission Systems from May 2022 to February 2023 and a System Engineering Co-op Student role at Telesat in summer 2021. Additionally, Selina has experience as a Camp Counsellor for the City of Ottawa during the summer of 2019. A graduate of Queen's University with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering, earned between 2018 and 2022, Selina combines educational knowledge with practical experience in the engineering field.
