Troy Fisher began their work experience as a Software Engineer at 3dfx in 1998, where they interned for three consecutive summers. Troy then worked as a Research Assistant at UC Santa Cruz from 1999 to 2001, aiding in research and creating tools. In 2004, they joined Winnov as a Software Engineer, where they designed and managed the core AV processing pipeline. Troy also created a language for dynamically configuring and creating video and audio encoding pipelines. Since 2014, Troy has been working as a Principal Software Engineer at Telestream Inc., where they lead the Telestream Media Framework project and collaborates with multiple project leads/managers for integrating new features.
Troy Fisher received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, from 1999 to 2002. Troy then went on to earn a Master of Science degree in Physics from San Jose State University from 2008 to 2012.
