Bec Nguyen has had a diverse work experience. Bec is currently the Founder and Director of Upbeat Digital, where they provide expert guidance and consulting services, utilizing design thinking to improve businesses and projects. Bec has also worked as an Evaluation Consultant for AWESOME Arts, focusing on collaborative creative projects in remote areas. Bec is a User Experience Researcher at Telethon Kids Institute, contributing to the design of app projects for Aboriginal communities and promoting healthy skin practices. In the past, Bec has held roles as a Project Manager at The Wilderness Society Australia, an Event Manager at Inglewood Upmarket, and a User Experience Researcher at Nature Play WA. Additionally, they have worked in digital project management and research roles at Telethon Kids Institute, where they facilitated workshops and developed apps on various topics. Bec has also been involved in community engagement and research as a Research Officer at the Consumer and Community Health Research Network.
Bec Nguyen's education history shows a diverse range of studies and certifications. In 2001, they enrolled at Curtin University and completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Asian Studies in 2005. Later, they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in I.T/I.S at Curtin University, but the duration of this study is unknown.
In 2017, Bec attended General Assembly and completed a course in User Experience Design. Bec then further enhanced their skillset by attending a course in Design Thinking at Echos Desirable Futures Lab from 2018 to 2019. Additionally, they obtained the Certified Scrum Product Owner certification from Scrum Alliance in 2021.
Furthermore, Bec obtained two additional certifications. In March 2022, they acquired a UX UI Design certification from Academy Xi. Prior to that, in November 2021, they obtained the Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification from Scrum Alliance.
