Leonard Goh has a diverse work experience starting from 2011 when they worked as an Administrative Support Assistant in the Singapore Armed Forces. From 2014 to 2015, they served as the President of the IMU Debating Society. Leonard then moved on to become a part of the IMU Student Representative Council, where they held various roles, including Vice President and later President from 2016 to 2017. In 2017, they joined the Stratification to Prevent Overcrowding Taskforce (SPOT) Research Group as a Research Fellow, focused on improving patient care in the emergency department. Leonard also worked at Sarawak General Hospital as a Medical Officer in different departments, including the Department of Paediatrics and the COVID-19 Data Analytics Team. Leonard was also involved in Sarawak's healthcare community as the Advisor for the MMA Junior Doctors Network and held various positions within the SCHOMOS organization. Furthermore, Leonard Goh has recently been appointed as a Clinical Research Fellow at the Telethon Kids Institute and a Clinical Lecturer at The University of Western Australia, starting in 2023.
Leonard Goh began their education journey in 2005 at Raffles Institution, where they pursued their GCE Singapore-Cambridge A levels. Their chosen subjects included Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Economics, General Paper, and Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Leonard successfully completed their education at Raffles Institution in 2010.
In 2013, Leonard enrolled in the International Medical University, where they embarked on the pursuit of a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. Leonard dedicated himself to their studies and completed this program in 2018.
In addition to their formal education, Leonard pursued several certifications to further enhance their skills and knowledge. In December 2018, they obtained the Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification from the National Committee for Clinical Research Malaysia. Continuing their professional development, Leonard acquired Provisional Registration from the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) in February 2019, and later achieved Full Registration in November 2020 from the same institution.
Furthermore, Leonard obtained the Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association in September 2021. Leonard then expanded their expertise by becoming a Neonatal Resuscitation Programme provider certified by the Perinatal Society of Malaysia in February 2022. Finally, in March 2023, Leonard obtained Limited Registration for Teaching and Research from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
