Greg Newman

Greg Newman is an experienced broadcast technology professional with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the Broadcast Delivery Systems Team Lead and previously as a Distribution Engineering Specialist at TVNZ since February 2011, Greg has been instrumental in the operational support of terrestrial and satellite headends and the management of the FreeviewNZ platform. Prior to this role, Greg held various positions including Broadcast Technology Manager at Five, where key achievements included selecting Isilon as the core storage solution, and served as an Interactive Engineer at Channel 4, focusing on interactive services. Greg's foundational experience began at OnDigital/ITV Digital as Senior Systems Engineer, overseeing DTT headend broadcast technology. Greg holds a BSc Hons in Physics from the University of Exeter.
