Samuel Zabell

User Experience Lead at Tellow

Samuel Zabell has a varied and extensive work experience in the field of design and user experience. Samuel has most recently worked at aetas diagnostics as the Creative Director and UX/UI Designer since December 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Tellow as the User Experience Lead starting in May 2021.

Before these roles, Samuel was the Head of Digital/User Experience at Vaengad starting in July 2019 and a Design Designer/UX Lead at Ikonospace starting in October 2017.

Samuel gained experience as a UX/UI Designer and Advertising Art Director at Native from February 2015 to November 2016, where they led teams and worked on projects related to the Australian Red Bull account and international tourism.

Additionally, Samuel worked as a Copywriter at Boomerang during a segment of their Hyper Island Program, where they worked across various accounts including Heineken, KLM, Samsung, and World Wildlife Fund.

Samuel also has experience as an Art Director at SYOU co-designed sneakers, where they played a key role in developing the brand and building marketing relationships.

Prior to that, Samuel worked as a Mid-Weight Creative at Media Playground and as an Art Director/Designer at Gallivant Media.

Samuel Zabell began their education at The Southport School in 2001 and completed their studies there in 2005. Samuel then pursued a Bachelor of Business degree with a focus on Advertising and Marketing at QUT (Queensland University of Technology) from 2007 to 2009. In 2011, Samuel enrolled at Kaplan Institute and obtained a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance, specializing in Finance, which they finished in 2012. Additionally, Samuel attended Shillington College in 2012, where they earned a Certificate IV in Graphic Design, focusing on Design and Visual Communications. In 2015 and 2016, they furthered their education at Hyper Island, where they obtained an Interactive Art Direction Diploma in Commercial and Advertising Art.
