Charif Souki is the current Chairman at Tellurian. Prior to Tellurian, they were the Vice President of Finance and Business Development at Cheniere Energy, Inc. from September 2012 to March 2016. In this role, they oversaw systems, finance, accounting and middle office functions for Cheniere's LNG Trading group. Charif was also responsible for managing the build out of the ETRM system in London, setting up trade finance and commodity trading facilities with banks, and hiring and building out the accounting function in London.
From July 2007 to September 2012, Souki was the Vice President of the Commodities group at Credit Suisse. In this role, they were responsible for seeking out opportunities in the energy industry that would add value to Cheniere's business strategy, as well as arranging financing for development projects. Charif also fostered communication and collaboration between the London and Houston offices.
Souki began their career as a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley from January 2001 to May 2002. Charif then became the Managing Director at Ajax Holdings from May 2002 to June 2006. After Ajax Holdings, they became the Vice President of Corporate Finance at T.R. Winston & Company from June 2006 to September 2012.
Charif Souki attended Beverly Hills High School before studying economics at UC Irvine. Charif then went on to earn their MBA in finance from the University of Southern California - Marshall School of Business.
