James Browne has worked in the telecom industry since 2005. James began their career at Imagine Communications Group as a Voice Engineer. From 2011 to 2013, they worked at Commtech Distribution as a Telecom Engineer, where they were responsible for installation and support of Microsoft Lync 2010, Audiocodes and Dialogic voice gateways, Dialogic cards and Avaya PBX, as well as administration of VMWare ESXi, Lync 2010 and network switches. From 2013 to 2017, they worked at ICON plc as a Network/Telecom Engineer, where they were responsible for configuration and administration of Cisco switches and routers, Riverbed Steelhead appliances, and Cisco/Meraki wifi devices, as well as administration of Nortel (CS1000) and Cisco (CME) PBXs, Audiocodes voice gateways, IP phones, and the telecoms infrastructure. Since 2017, James has been working as a Senior Telephony Operations Engineer at Telnyx, where they are responsible for monitoring and maintaining the Telephony infrastructure, designing and implementing new features required by customers/carriers, and QA-testing new features.
James Browne attended University College Dublin from 1992 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mathematics and Computer Science.
