Rick Simmons, MSODA, has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Rick is the Co-Founder and CEO of the telos institute, where they help leaders in business and industry enhance their leadership skills, optimize business strategy, and embrace change. As a Founding Fellow at the Institute of Coaching, they contribute to the development and advancement of coaching practices. Additionally, as a Founding Member of the Private Directors Association®, they promote excellent practices in board formation and governance to enhance private company value. Rick is also a Member of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), further demonstrating their expertise in the field. Rick has served as an Affiliate Lecturer & Master Coach at the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University since 2011, where they facilitate courses on executive influence and resilience. Before their current roles, Rick held positions such as Director of Sales Strategy & Development at UBS and Vice President of National Sales at Block Advisors.
Rick Simmons, MSODA, obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance/Economics from Baldwin Wallace University in 1993. In 2005, they earned a Master's degree in Organization Development & Analysis with a focus on Organizational Behavior from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. Rick also participated in a Study Abroad Immersion Experience focused on Multicultural Collaboration at KU Leuven in 2004.
In terms of certifications, Rick obtained the Hogan Assessment Systems certification from Performance Programs, Inc. in May 2014. In June 2011, they gained certifications in the Emotional and Social Competency Inventory (ESCI) from The Hay Group and the Weatherhead Advanced Executive Coaching from the Weatherhead School of Management. In May 2005, they obtained certifications in DiSC from Everything DiSC: A Wiley Brand, Firo-B from CPP, Inc., Learning Style Inventory, and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator from CPP, Inc.
