Ryan Powell has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Ryan started their career as an Engineering Intern at NASA Ames Research Center in 1998. Ryan then worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Velocity11 from 2004 to 2008, where they designed small volume servo, stepper, and pneumatic driven mechanisms. Additionally, they developed custom environments for large-scale automation platforms.
In 2008, Ryan joined Cellpoint Diagnostics as a Senior Mechanical Engineer and stayed until 2009. At Cellpoint Diagnostics, they were responsible for the mechanical design of products.
Ryan's next role was at Autonomic Technologies Inc., where they started as an Associate Director of Mechanical Engineering in 2009. At Autonomic Technologies Inc., they played a crucial role in designing and developing a miniaturized implantable neurostimulator for pain treatment. Ryan also worked on the remote controller and surgical tooling for accurate neurostimulator deployment. Ryan left the company in 2014.
From 2015 to 2022, Ryan worked at Carbon, initially as an Engineering Manager and later as a Director of Mechanical Engineering. Ryan showed their leadership skills and managed the engineering team.
