Reuben Aitchison

Reuben Aitchison has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Reuben began their career as a Broadcast Journalist at IRN News in 1995. Reuben then worked as a Media Trainer at Act NZ and served as a communications advisor and electorate agent during the 1999 general election in New Zealand. Reuben joined Heath Lambert Group in 2001 as a Public Relations Manager and successfully created and led the PR team. In 2006, they moved to Aon Limited, where they held the position of Head of Public Relations for the UK, managing PR strategy and campaigns. Reuben then joined Suncorp Group in 2010, occupying various roles such as AAMI Corporate Affairs Manager and Manager, External Relations - Personal Insurance. During their time at Suncorp, they played a vital role in driving the company's move into a Shared Value model. Reuben further expanded their experience as an Executive Director at Mediaverse Pty Ltd in 2015 and later became the Manager Insights & Analysis at Australian Associated Press (AAP) in 2016. In 2017, they joined Swisse Wellness as a Senior Manager Communications. Reuben also had a stint as an Independent Communications Consultant before joining Telum Media in 2020. At Telum Media, they have taken on multiple roles, including Melbourne Manager, PR News Manager for ANZ, and currently serves as the Head of the PR Team & News. In this role, they are responsible for leading the team and growing the company's online news capabilities. Throughout their career, Reuben has demonstrated strong leadership skills, marketing expertise, and a strategic approach to public relations.

Reuben Aitchison earned a Bachelor of Business degree with a focus on Marketing and International Business from Auckland University of Technology between 1996 and 2000. In 2014, Reuben completed the Reputation Leadership Program in Corporate Reputation Management at Reputation Institute.
