Jed Dutton has over 20 years of experience in marketing and account management. In 1999, they began their career as an Account Executive at Mullen, where they worked on accounts such as Zatarain's, Lowes Foods, Thomasville Furniture, and R.J. Reynolds tobacco. In 2002, they moved to McCann as an Account Supervisor. In 2005, they joined Hanft Raboy and Partners as an Account Supervisor, leading the trans-Atlantic effort to bring online dating to the UK. In 2007, Jed joined The Martin Agency as a VP, Account Director, where they helped lead the team working with Walmart to redefine the brand and attract millions of new shoppers. In 2013, they moved to WestRock Company as a Senior Manager, Brand Engagement, where they led teams developing innovations for key customers and was awarded “Most Innovative Supplier” at AB-InBev summit in Leuven, Belgium. In 2016, Jed returned to The Martin Agency as a VP, Group Account Director, where they won the Midas account in a competitive pitch, healed relationships with clients and partner agencies, and launched a new brand platform which drove a 4% sustained same store sales increase. In 2019, Jed founded Jed Dutton, LLC as an Independent Marketing Director, and also joined TemperPack as Vice President, Marketing, where they are leading marketing for a packaging tech start-up who’s invented a recyclable alternative to Styrofoam.
Jed Dutton received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Commerce and Marketing from the University of Virginia in 1999. Jed then took a Marketing Week Mini MBA with Mark Ritson in 2019. In 2020, they completed a Business Analytics: From Data to Insights course with Wharton Online. Jed is currently enrolled in a Sustainable Business course at the University of Virginia and will begin an Impact Measurement and Management for the SDGs course at Duke University in 2022.
