Michael Young is an accomplished healthcare executive with extensive experience in leadership roles at various health systems. Currently serving as President and CEO of both Temple University Health System and Temple University Hospital since August 2018, Michael is responsible for the development of programs and services at the hospital. Previously, Michael held the title of Chief Restructuring Officer and CEO at Promise Healthcare, leading the restructuring of a prominent Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) provider. Michael's earlier roles include Regional COO at Lutheran Health Network, where efforts focused on improving relationships between local hospitals, and President and CEO positions at Pinnacle Health System, Grady Health System, Erie County Medical Center Corporation, and Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine, where significant transformations and financial turnarounds were achieved. Michael holds an Advanced Management Program degree from Harvard University, a Master’s degree in Health Services Administration, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Pittsburgh.
