Olan Garrett

Olan Garrett possesses extensive experience in student affairs within higher education, currently serving as the Senior Associate Vice President for Student Affairs at Temple University since March 2021, overseeing University Housing and Residential Life, Campus Recreation, and various administrative functions. Previously, Olan held positions at Temple University as Associate Vice President and Interim Vice President for Student Affairs, offering strategic and operational leadership in student life for a large urban institution. Experience at Penn State University as Senior Associate Director of Residence Life involved managing the residential program for a significant student population. Earlier roles at the University of Maryland included Manager for Educational and Outreach Programs and Community Director, while initial experience was gained as Residence Hall Director at Ball State University. Olan Garrett is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration from Temple University, building on prior doctoral coursework in the same field from the University of Maryland.
