Angela Huang

Founder & President at Tempo Bioscience

Angela Huang is the Founder and President of Tempo Bioscience, a technology development company focused on human cell-based models and assay technologies, established in June 2013. In addition, Angela Huang is the Founder and Board Member of Presto Therapeutics, which specializes in products for the Cell and Gene Therapy field since its spin-off in 2018. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position at UC San Francisco from 2008 to 2012, conducting research on the genetic basis of human sleep behavior, and a Doctoral Student role at UC San Diego from September 2002 to December 2007, focusing on sensory neuroscience and molecular genetics. Early career experiences include an internship at SUGEN Inc and an undergraduate research project at Lawrence Berkeley National Labs, investigating DNA-repair proteins and their cancer implications. Angela Huang holds a Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship in Human Genetics and Neuroscience from UC San Francisco, a Ph.D. in Biology and Neuroscience from UC San Diego, and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from UC Berkeley.
